The games shall begin Monday! The psychological gridiron to getting healthy!
by fatmandiary on October 29, 2010
My fatness has begun to wage war with my mind. It’s a psychological battle that will be fought on the grill, in the fridge and at local restaurants. The strategy will be played out on the treadmill, at the grocery market and the couch.
Counter attacks of fiber and smaller portions at meal times will stupefy the enemy! fight, fight, fight!
The plate will be the “face” of the battleground however, other conflicts will arise near local fast food joints. It will be fought day and night without rest.
The war won’t be won with one gargantuan blow rather, it will be won over a period of time with each small conflict resolution.
A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.
~Winston Churchill
I have to try and build myself up for this undertaking at every turn. I will not fail!
Oh for Christ’s sake! Who am I kidding? I’ll do the best I can.
CW: Nice to see you again.
Me: Not really, go away.
CW: Come on, have a little taste… you know you want to.
Me: No, go away. You are greasy fat and no good for me.
CW: I’m soooo saucy for you! [bedroom voice]
Me: No… no… well… maybe a little nibble… just a little…
CW: [Milton Berle laugh from Micheal Jackson’s Thriller]
Me: Oh my GAWD, you’re sooooo good!
CW: Mmmmmm!
Me: I can’t get enough!
CW: Don’t worry, there are 10 of us big, fat juicy chicken wings waiting for you!
Me: NOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooo!
And then I wake up! WTF!
I know I can, I know I can!
